Filipino Caregivers

At Hira Global Care, we understand that caregiving is not one-size-fits-all. Every individual and family has different needs, which is why we provide skilled Filipino caregivers selected according to the specific care requirements of each household or institution.

Our caregivers may be matched for elderly care, infant and child care, persons with disabilities, mobility assistance, palliative and supportive care, as well as individuals who require help with their daily routines. Depending on the care needs, caregivers can assist with personal care, mobility, medication routines, basic health monitoring, nutrition, companionship, and activities of daily living.

Our goal is simple: to match the right caregiver, with the right skills, to the right person—providing families with dependable support while helping those receiving care maintain their comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

WHY HIRA GLOBAL CARE?

At Hira Global Care, we recognize that every care recipient has different needs. Some individuals may require assistance with everyday activities, while others need more experienced support due to age, disability, limited mobility, chronic conditions or more complex care requirements.

Our caregiver pool includes individuals with backgrounds in nursing studies, clinical training, nursing assistance and professional caregiving, with many having prior experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities and private home-care environments.

This experience is particularly valuable when supporting individuals whose care may involve mobility assistance, personal hygiene, feeding, medication routines, basic health monitoring, rehabilitation support and coordination with family members and healthcare professionals.

Most importantly, we focus on appropriate caregiver matching. Our team considers the care recipient's condition, daily requirements and level of support needed alongside each caregiver's training, experience and capabilities.

For more complex cases, we may recommend a caregiver with stronger clinical exposure or nursing-related training rather than a general caregiver. Our priority is not simply to provide a caregiver—it is to match each family with someone whose skills and experience are appropriate for the person receiving care.

Training and experience

How We Select & Prepare Our Caregivers

At Hira Global Care, providing quality care begins long before a caregiver arrives in Singapore. We follow a structured process of candidate sourcing, skills verification, screening, preparation and compliant deployment to help ensure that the caregivers we introduce are properly prepared for the responsibilities entrusted to them.

Our candidates are sourced in the Philippines through Hira Taurean International Corporation, which works with colleges, universities, training institutions and professional networks to connect qualified graduates and trained professionals with international career opportunities. This enables us to identify candidates with relevant backgrounds in caregiving, nursing assistance, healthcare and related disciplines.

As part of our selection standards, candidates are required to possess relevant Philippine skills certification, such as TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) or higher, where applicable to their occupational qualification. We also review their education, training, experience, communication ability and suitability for caregiving responsibilities.

Preparing Caregivers for Life in Singapore

Technical ability is only one part of becoming an effective caregiver. Selected candidates therefore undergo additional Singapore-readiness preparation through Hira Taurean International Corporation before deployment.

This preparation introduces them to important aspects of working and living in Singapore, including Singapore laws and regulations, workplace and household discipline, cultural awareness, professional conduct, communication, adapting to Singapore's multicultural environment, and the expectations involved in living and working with Singaporean and foreign households.

The objective is to prepare caregivers not only to perform their duties, but also to understand the environment, responsibilities and professional standards expected of them in Singapore.

Compliant Overseas Deployment

Candidates proceeding to employment in Singapore are also required to complete the applicable Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) processes for Overseas Filipino Workers, together with the relevant Singapore immigration, employment and work-pass requirements.

This gives Hira Global Care an end-to-end approach:

Institutional Sourcing → Skills Certification → Candidate Screening → Singapore Preparation → DMW Processing → Singapore Deployment → Caregiver Matching

Through this process, Hira Global Care aims to provide families and institutions with caregivers who are not only skilled, but carefully selected, properly prepared and matched according to the needs of the person receiving care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info.hirasingapore@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our caregivers are engaged primarily to provide dedicated care and support to the individual under their care. Specialized caregiving can be a full-time responsibility, particularly for elderly persons, persons with disabilities, individuals with limited mobility, and those requiring more complex or continuous assistance.

For this reason, our caregivers' priority is the health, safety, comfort and daily needs of their assigned care recipient, rather than general household duties or providing domestic services for other members of the household.

Our caregivers will, however, assist with household activities directly related to the care recipient. This may include preparing the patient's meals, washing their clothing and linens, changing bed sheets, maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of their bedroom and bathroom, and keeping their immediate living environment safe and comfortable.

Where a household requires care for two or more individuals, or where additional responsibilities may be required, our Caregiving Consultants will assess the circumstances individually. This allows us to recommend an appropriate caregiving arrangement based on the number of care recipients, complexity of care and workload involved.

No. Only nurses who meet the registration and practicing requirements of the Singapore Nursing Board may practice nursing in Singapore.

Even if a caregiver is a qualified or registered nurse overseas, this does not authorize them to practice nursing in Singapore. Hira Global Care strictly trains our caregivers to understand their permitted scope of work and to refuse duties that would constitute unlawful nursing practice.

Their healthcare training and experience are valuable, but they are deployed as caregivers, not as Singapore-registered nurses.
